In September 2015, World Cyanotype Day, was inaugurated with members of Shootapalooza, A. Smith Gallery, along with the community of Johnson City, Texas, by creating one of the largest cyanotypes: Big Blue.  This was another brainchild of Judy and her imagination, which has grown to become a yearly international movement, of creating prayer flags to celebrate the cyanotype process in the month of September.

2022 World Cyanotype Day

The Big Camera at Ijams Nature Center – September 24th

The Big Camera is hosting an outdoor exhibit at Ijams Nature Center for World Cyanotype Day!

We will be accepting flags from across the Country to display on September 24, 2022.

Our very good friends at A. Smith Gallery are not able to host this year, so in the on-going theme of Community we want to offer a beautiful, outdoor exhibit in Knoxville, Tennessee.

You may send us your flag by September 17, 2022. Be sure to include a prepaid mailer if you want your flag(s) returned. There is NO CHARGE for this exhibit, we want to encourage participation from all over!

You may mail your flag(s) to:

The Big Camera

C/O Anna Lawrence

We will connect the flags together for display in a showing of friendship, love, and strength.
